This is the Wishing Island. Taken one weekend during summer last year. The first time that I saw this island was during our island hopping in my Environmental Science subject during college. Before, this Island is so beautiful - full of life and well-maintained. In this island lies the grave of the owner’s son.

My youngest sister asked me the other day what she’ll thaw for lunch. Since my niece requested for a soup, I told her to bring down the soup pack (the back portion of chicken) from the freezer. After minutes of looking for it in the freezer, she just told me that there’s no soup pack. I insisted that there is but she kept on telling me there’s none. Quite irritated, I told her to look for it at the top (referring to the freezer) for she is now looking for it in the beverage bin. Seemed she didn’t understand what I am talking about for she started looking for it at the top of the fridge, then at the cupboard, and in the grocery bags we brought home a night before. My bother-in-law asked her what she was looking for and she instantly said, “the soup pack”*lorl*. I can’t believe it! My sister didn’t know what a soup pack is. What she knew for a soup pack is the instant soup….grrr! She’s already in college and she has no idea what a soup pack is. Well, at least she learned something from that incident.
Even before I quit my office work, my mind is set for blogging as my sister-in-law was saying she is earning from her blogs. Though I have a second thought if I’d be able to make it because I need to refresh my grammar and composition lessons back in school, I think I should give it a try. It’s been years since I last wrote a feature article for I was used to business and technical writing at work. Anyway, it’s not graded as that of the school writing projects.
Since I started blogging, I enjoyed every bit of it much more that I am learning a lot from doing it not to mention the fact that I can earn just by simply writing a paid post. Yes, just another opportunity for me to earn while doing what makes me happy. After a week, I have read articles about blog advertising and have built my own directory. But I had to wait for more than a month for my blog to be approved because I need to meet the minimum requirements before I’d get approved. Anyway, after 2 months, this blog was approved in one of the blog advertising companies I have signed up and instantly, I got this opportunity to work on for a start. One good thing about this blog advertising company is their payout schedule…which is on a weekly basis. So, I don’t need to wait for weeks to receive payment for whatever opportunity I got.

Ella is talking like an adult. I don’t know where she got it but maybe because of the environment. She’s the only kid in the family….and everybody talked to her like an adult. She’s also thinking like an adult would do and sometimes, she made sense much more than us. Early last night, my youngest sister accompanied her to the bathroom for her half-bath. While they were in the bathroom, I heard Ella telling her Aunt…”Ikaw Che-Che ha, parati ka nalang pinapagalitan. Pag may iutos kasi sayo, gawin mo agad. Ang tigas-tigas ng ulo mo (Che, they are always mad at you because you’re so hardheaded. When they ask you to do something, do it right away.)”. :-)
