Paella pans

I think I have mentioned about my dream kitchen must-haves in my other blog. I wanted a set of Vision for my cooking utensils but haven’t got it until now because priorities have changed. Anyway, what we have now is a non-stick pans I bought from our Ninang Alma when she had a garage sale. We used it a lot that we forgot about our other aluminum pans. I like using it because it’s easier to clean. Anyway, I have read sissy Arlene’s post about paella pan and I became interested in checking its site. I think it’s nice because its non-stick pans with variety of materials being used. One can choose from Polished Steel, Aluminum Non-Stick, Stainless Steel, Copper and Enameled Steel. A great array of choices. I hope the pans are available here so I can have one if I can afford to buy. :-)

Capresso coffee maker

I and Ace are not coffee drinkers. We can absolutely live without those addicting drinks.:-) When we were in Cebu City, coffee shops have sprouted like mushrooms but we didn’t dare trying any of it. After more than a year, coffee shops has become a good business around here. More and more people have become coffee shop goer. For years, we’ve been to 2 coffee shops for coffee but for business purposes because it’s one of the convenient place where you can talk about business with some associates. When we were in Cebu last year, Eunice and Johanns treated us in Starbucks. Since we are not coffee lovers, I and Ace shared in one cold coffee and we almost couldn’t say “all the way down”, the words Mamang would say when we were drinking milk during my childhood days. We had a hard time drinking all what’s in our plastic glass. Lately, seems Ace wanted to try some coffee shops here. I hope he’ll just give it a try and not be addicted to it because going to coffee shops is a very expensive habit and addiction or else, will end up getting a capresso coffee maker so that we can make our own brewed coffee here at home. :-)

Tape drive

If not because of blogging, I won’t get to know that there’s a certain thing as tape drive. Somewhat techie idiot, you know.LOL. Anyway, I’m glad that I am learning new things. For sure I won’t be able to learn this in the office. Since I am not familiar with tape drives, I checked on wikipedia for its meaning and purpose. As I understand it, it is a data storage device that reads and writes data being stored on a magnetic tape. Basically, it is used for archival storage of data on hard drives. Quite interesting. This maybe a good alternative from getting an external hard drive. Will just check its availability here and its advantages and disadvantages compared to HDD. But of course if the price is right, I will go for tape drive.

Memory full

What kept Ace busy over the weekend was transferring our photos to drive E for the meantime while we haven’t got an external hard drive yet. He requested me to do it weeks back because system memory of drive C is almost full which makes the computer lag but I wasn’t able to do it. I’m just done deleting the not so good photos that gave us 4gb of free space. But as I upload another batch of photos, it was down to less than 1gb and Ace was compelled to do it because I have no time doing it.

Camera Critters

Here’s the cat that welcomed us at Philippine Eagle center months back. I don’t know if it’s a he or she*wink* but it seemed to me that this critter is used to pose in front of the camera because it didn’t moved while I was taking a snap. Not like our Kiawkiaw who’s really hard to take a snap of him because he just walk away when he sees I am focusing the cam to him.

Happy CC!
