Bookworm
Ace discovered something to spend his idle time….playing BOOKWORM! Yesterday, Dimple (my niece) introduced the said PC game to him. He started playing before we had our morning snacks and he only stopped playing late in the afternoon after Che2x asked for her turn in Dimple’s laptop to check her friendster account.
I thought we could not go home last night. Seems Ace is not in the mood to go home and is enjoying his stay at Manong Joey and Manang Inday’s house. He initially said we’ll go home early the next morning but I did not agree with him (though I, too don’t want to go home) because I am 100% sure he will not report for work. He’s been absent from work a day or two for 3 consecutive weeks already. What will his superiors say if he’ll be absent again today? He is then certified to have Monday sickness. Anyway, to cut the story short, we were able to go home after dinner and told Manang Inday we will be back next weekend. Yey! We already have a weekend getaway just within the city.
After a long wait for a non-airconditioned taxi at the subdivision’s entrance, we were able to get a ride and safely arrived home after almost 30 minutes. We were all so full so we didn’t slept early. Che2x washed the dishes (actually she asked me while we are in mobile what we will see when we got here. I told her, dishes waiting to be washed then she laughed because we were thinking the same thing). She don’t have a choice…she will wash dishes whether or not she has eaten here.
Ace finally found Bookworm and downloaded it in the PC. Then he happily texted Manang Inday he already have a version full of the game. He killed the time by playing it in his father’s laptop while I was doing my thing here in the PC. I’ve so many pending tasks that I should finish ASAP so he didn’t bother to disturb me here. We were both busy and we didn’t noticed the time. It’s already past 12 midnight! So we immediately stopped what we’re doing and went to bed.
When I woke up this morning, Ace is already preparing for work. He seemed not to be too exhausted from sleeping late while I felt the other way around so he just let me lie down and I just got up from bed when he was ready to go. After Ace left, I started to do my thing. I am trying to wake up that sleeping blogging neurons so that I could get many things done today. I posted a thing or two and started to blog hop which I haven’t done for so long. I spent the rest of the day in front of the PC and stopped to watch El Cuerpo during its time slot and back to the PC again. Now I am done cooking for dinner and is waiting for Ace to get home so we could eat our dinner. And oh, did I say what we have for dinner? Nilagang butu-buto ng baboy (I don’t know what is the English term for that recipe) in short, pork bones. I can now imagine Ace’ big smile after he’ll learn what we have for dinner. Have to go now. We’ll be checking for an online car insurance provider for a friend who wanted to change their car insurance provider.
