One of the things that Daddy learned living alone without Mamang is to take care of his needs…and do some house chores! Being the “supervisor” of the house before who just give commands on what to do, I was surprised to see him do house chores. Of course I’ve seen him doing chores before when Mamang is not around…but that is once in a blue moon.
For more than two months that Daddy is here with us, he sweeps the floor, water the plants, and managed to clean the back area of the apartment (where he usually spends his idle time). He even feeds the dogs and the cat! That was when Che2x was here. But last week, Che2x was left in Kabacan so it’s just the three of us here…Daddy, I and Ace. He must have seen me struggling to do everything while I have work to do so he sometimes do the honors of washing the dishes. On the second time that he washed the dishes, he was complaining of the mismatched dinnerwares (I remember Mommy Julie on this) and glasswares.*lol*. He’s telling me it’s hard to stock them when they have different sizes and shapes!hahaha. Imagine having 4 kinds of bowl in different sizes and shapes. It must have been difficult for him to arrange it in the small cabinet. Well, we have to bear that problem this time because we haven’t got a dinnerware set yet (which reminds me to drop by at Raffles when I get the chance to inquire about their registration requirements). Glad I didn’t hear him complain about the tiled sink that needs to be brushed everytime we finish washing the dishes to prevent from accumulating molds. He was really good at keeping that sink clean while I have problem with that with Che2x who doesn’t even brush the sink after she does the dishes…and she has to be reminded from time to time. I just don’t know why the apartment owner chose a tiled sink instead of copper sink. Copper sinks are really nice and functional but far way expensive than having a tiled sink. Maybe that’s why the apartment owner chose the latter. If it would be in our own home, I would really want to have copper sinks in the kitchen and bathroom.
