Nothing really changed
That’s my initial reaction when I saw this notice last Sunday and Monday at Sun Cellular shop in Gaisano Mall Davao: “OUR SYSTEM IS OFFLINE. PLEASE BEAR WITH US”. That’s it! Nothing really changed. Sun Cellular (Digitel) and my former company is a subsidiary of JG Summit – one of the biggest conglomerate in the country. Added to that, for how many times that I have flown with Cebu Pacific (the airline company of JG Summit), I have experienced waiting too long just to get an e-ticket because the system is offline.
For my 3 year-stint at URC, we’ve been experiencing system downtime ALWAYS that lasts for a day, week, or even weeks! Then we have to wait for technical support from head office to fix the problem. That really makes everybody crazy since we are all system-dependent.
So I hope the next time I’ll go to Sun shop, I won’t see that announcement again.
