Ventosa cupping experience at Body Bliss

I and Ace see to it that we indulge in full body massage from time to time. Ace was able to have his body massage at Nong Doming’s (formerly Mang Domeng’s) early this month when he had his hair cut (because they offer free hair cut every time you avail of their full body massage). Anyway, as promised (months ago) I was able to have a massage last Monday at Body Bliss in C.M. Recto St. Full body massage for 60 minutes (1 hr) is worth PhP200 and I availed of their Ventosa (cupping) using bamboo for an additional fee of PhP50 for 15 minutes. The ventosa is really a great experience that I almost jumped when the first heated bamboo was placed in my back. I could feel it was sucking the flesh it covered and there’s a quite tingling sensation. Ventosa (cupping) is said to penetrate 4 inches deep the skin and it helps in blood circulation, muscle relaxation, promotes digestion, detoxification, and other health benefits. It lasted for 15 minutes and I felt relieved after the procedure. All in all, the massage is a great experience much more the ventosa.

lyn2x-copyWhen we got home and I changed clothes, Ace and Che2x noticed the red marks in my back. I was not even thinking the bamboo would leave a mark in my back. I cannot see it so Ace took a photo of it. That’s how my back looks. The masseuse was taking the bamboo and infuse heat inside from time to time so there’s multiple marks in every spot.

That was what I really need….a full body massage! I just hope we could do it once a month as the therapist told me I need to undergo massage often until all the “panuhot” or cold spot (thanks to Sissy Joanne for mentioning this word) (what’s the English for that?) in my back (especially at the upper back) will be gone as she noticed my back is full of “panuhot” or cold spot. Where did I get it? Anyway, as Ace promised, he’ll treat me again to a body massage next month. Woohooo! I am looking forward to that.

Dang! Look at your back! … Did that hurt? Because it looks bruised.

I think I’d pass!

it doesn’t hurt actually. just a tingling sensation at first. I could feel it sucking my flesh.

This worked for my wife too who frequently has tired and sore upper back muscles. I saw the lump inside the glass on her back gradually shrink towards the end of the session. To see is to believe!
