I was thinking of letting my youngest sister blog so she can monetize it and earn even just for her daily allowance. I could get her a domain and host in my hosting account but I doubt if she can make it. I am not confident she has that writing ability…hahaha! I’m underestimating her. If I let her blog, I might end up writing for her like what she does with her projects. She’s been asking me to write for her school requirements but I never give in to her request. Who will be graded by then? Is it me? I never asked anybody to do my school requirements and assignments before so I won’t be doing others’ paper works as well. Swerte nila! Anyway, I think she wanted to have a blog now ‘coz she asked me to set-up a blog for her…I hope she won’t change her mind. Let’s see how she writes. It doesn’t need to be super articulate…just simple sentences would do as long as it is understandable. So goodluck! Will be getting a domain for her by next week and I hope she can work on it. It’s a way to hasten her writing skills anyway so it must be a great experience for her.

After days of using this current theme, I wanted to change it again. One of the sidebars is at the bottom of the other when this blog is viewed in Internet Explorer. I used Mozilla when changing the theme and it looks perfect to me. I just knew of the dis-arranged sidebars when I opened my site in my niece’ laptop using IE (internet explorer). Another this is, if not because of Mommy Julie’s comment, I would not know that the comments are off. The choleric worked in me that I didn’t noticed that comments are turned off in my previous posts. Also, I have problem adding widgets in my sidebar. I cannot simply add another one because one of the sidebars will be pulled down below the other. Also, there’s no “previous/older posts”. I need to browse through the categories if I wanted to check on the previous pages. I thought this theme works perfect for me. Now I need to find another theme again.
After checking on what’s wrong with my comment moderation, I thought it’s working already. But I wonder why I didn’t received any comment on my posts. I was thinking maybe there’s something wrong with the link I provided for my meme because many have commented in my entry in Life’s Lessons. It’s the first time I didn’t received any comment in my daily meme. I was planning to check on my link with Ruby Tuesday and Wordless Wednesday after my shift yesterday. But just before my shift ended, Sissy Arlene PMed me asking why she cannot leave a comment because there’s no way she can register. Hmmppp…..that was it! Now I know why one of the visitors said she cannot register to leave a comment and I took that for granted. Immediately I checked on the settings and there it is! I intentionally (or not?) checked the box for “users should be registered to leave a comment”. Now, that was the result of checking that box. Now I know. I thought the user being referred to is me, the author…in other words. Discovered something useful yesterday. Thanks to Arlene for clarifying the issue because if I hadn’t heard a word about it, I will only think nobody left a comment. With that experience, I agree with what others are saying “sometimes common sense are not common”.
Now it’s back! After my previous post was published, I have made some tweaking in my dashboard. I had changed theme for a while to check if the theme has something to do with the problem. After changing from one theme to another, it’s still the same. So I decided to deactivate all the plugins. Maybe one of my activated plug-ins caused the problem. The bad thing is, I forgot which plug-in was recently activated. For sure it caused the error. So I don’t have a choice but to deactivate all plug-ins and activate it one by one…again! Anyway, I don’t have the luxury of time for that for now. I have many pending things to attend to. BTW, do I deserve gift baskets this time for thinking out of the box again? Hmmm….I think so but not this time. For now, will treat myself to a very good night sleep and be ready for work tomorrow.

in Blogging, My Thoughts Tags: Ace, Arlene, Che-Che, earning from blogs, EON account, PaypalSchool year will start next week and our student wasn’t enrolled yet. I am depending on my earning from my blogs for my sister’s tuition fee and other personal needs. But prior to that, I already withdrawn my earnings and used it when we went home for Mamang’s death anniversary the other week. I shouldn’t be making withdrawal last week ’coz I want it to accumulate to certain amount but I don’t have a choice. Our student is already worried because she wasn’t enrolled yet. It’s unfair for Ace if I ask from him some amount for my sister’s tuition fee so I made a withdrawal Thursday last week hoping I will receive it Wednesday of this week. Everyday, I was checking on my EON account to see if the amount was credited already. I was so confident that the money will soon reflect in my account until Arlene told me yesterday that her withdrawal wasn’t successful and that the money was credited back to her paypal account with $13 deduction from the total amount. Too bad! Then I began to worry. I was hoping mine would be successful. I wanted to fret when the bank’s site is inaccessible yesterday. What if what happened to Arlene will also happen to me? I only have 2 days left to produce the money and I don’t know where to seek help this time. It’s not easy to get a loan from somebody with such short notice.
First hour in the morning, I checked on my bank account and I was so happy to see certain amount reflected in my account including the money Carol transferred from her paypal for the last payment for her PC. At last, Che-Che can enroll tomorrow though I need to borrow a little amount from Ace to complete the money needed for the downpayment. Later this afternoon, OHJ sent my earnings for the last 2 weeks and I was like “thanks God!”. He really provides just when I needed it most. Che-Che was all smiles when I told her she’ll be able to enroll tomorrow.
