Gloomy days

For days, it’s been gloomy with scattered rainshowers (do I sound like a weather forecaster?LOL). I loathe this kind of weather especially that I cannot just snuggle under the sheets for the rest of the day. I have to keep going because work needs my time and pending tasks are almost drowning me. Ace, on the other hand is determined to go to work despite of the weather that’s been tempting him to stay at home and sleep.

I should be thankful for the cold weather because we could opt not to use the a/c at night. So that’s a couple of kilowatt/hr less in our electricity consumption. We actually tried it the other night. But we end up restless because it’s too cold with the windows open and it’s too hot when we close it. Hence, Ace decided to use the a/c last night though it’s already cold outside. At least we could regulate the coldness that we want by adjusting the temperature up so we won’t be shivering despite of the micro fiber blanket that we have that serves like a heated blanket. Unlike the comforters, the microfiber blanket doesn’t absorb cold so we remain comfy even if the room is chilly.

Great morning

I had an “unusual” way to sweat this morning. After Ace left for work, I dragged myself to do Kaoshiki dance for 10 minutes. It was really great and I feel good! I hope to do it E-V-E-R-Y-D-A-Y to stetch my muscles and sweat out.

When Che2x woke up at 9AM, I sent her to the market to buy fish for Kiaw-Kiaw but before she left, she asked me to sweep the floor. Since it’s been a while since I did it (because it’s her assignment after she wakes up in the morning), I swept the floor, dust the windows, changed the window curtains and polished the floor. After doing all that, I am panting…and sweating! It’s a good exercise though. Our floor is not tiled so it needs to be maintained with wax and frequent polishing. That’s so hard to maintain! Imagine everyday buffing? This really made me want a ceramic tiles flooring on our soon-to-be house. With tiled flooring, it’s easier to maintain because it’s not hard to buff…with just a dry rug, you’re good to go.

Little hands

Since we sent home our house helper, we’re now loaded with house chores. Glad that my sisters, BIL and the kids are around so we have division of labor. If I prepare the food, Carol or Donald has to wash the dishes while Che2x feeds the dog and takes care of the garbage. What’s so cute in this situation is Ella. For days, she’s been so helpful in the kitchen. She’s actually my little assistant and manages to set the table. At six, she just know how to set the table (I just miss taking a photo of her table setting). There are also times when she sweeps the floor and knows what to do with the rugs after she’s done sweeping. She even wanted to scrub the bathroom tiles this afternoon but I have to say “no” to her. When I was about to do the laundry, she was insisting she will help. What a sweet little fella! With her little hands, she could almost do what adults could do.

Stress-free

After more than a month of being stressed because of the house help, now I am stress-free again. Stress seemed to be a weight loss pill that works for me because I noticed I am not eating as much as I do when the helper is still not with us. I don’t know but I really feel stressed by the helper’s presence and the way she fails to do each and every instruction. Issues with her piled up until I and Ace instantly decided to send her home. At last! After more than a month of bearing every failed tasks and keeping my temper everytime she gets or uses our personal things without permission.

Two weeks…

right? I didn’t realize I wasn’t able to update this blog in 2 weeks. I thought it’s just last week that I posted something here only to find out that the last post was 14 days ago. Been busy with other things and doing post marathon in my other blogs so I almost neglected this one.

Anyway, nothing much happened lately except that we already got an addition to our photography gears and accessories – a Canon Speedlite 430EX II, then both I and Ace got a new pair of eyeglasses. It’s Ace’ first time to wear one. Then last Sunday, our househelp arrived so I am a little bit chore-less because somebody’s taking care of the laundry, washing the dishes, do some cleaning, and cooking for breakfast. Hence, I have more time in my hand that I’ve been “productively” spending in tending my farm in Farm Town aside from work and blogging.*lol*. So far, I’ve been loving the fact that we already have a househelp but I still need to make her schedule so I won’t be telling her from time to time what and how to do a thing. Oh well, the CHOLERIC wanted others to do things M-Y way.
