Photography gears are too expensive with high-end camera bodies reaching almost a quarter of a million (???) and camera lens more than 300 thousand. So I could say ours is one of the cheapest. :-) I couldn’t believe it when we met a photographer in one of the local newspapers in the city and said we need a million pesos if we want the super high-end photography gears. Should I have a million pesos, I would rather invest it in the farm rather than spending it on photography gears and accessories unless I am also making big bucks in my hobby. So when I have read in FPS about getting an insurance for the gears, I know they are serious because many of the members have gears and accessories that are too expensive with a combined worth maybe more of a car’s worth. So if they insure their cars, their house and other properties, why not also the photography gears? Haven’t checked yet what’s the update on this thing but I think interested parties have scheduled a meeting with a non-life insurance agent to explain to them how the insurance covering photography gears and accessories works and maybe, at the end of the day they’ll be provided with the insurance quotation. I’m curious what would be the content of the quote. Maybe it’s almost the same with a car insurance quote or customized depending on the insurer’s needs.

So how was it like blogging sitting on the floor? Thanks to the combination carpet that I bought in Handyman which keeps my butt from getting too cold. No matter how uncomfortable my position is, as long as I can blog, I am good to go but I cannot squat too long as I need to stretch my back from time to time. While I was laying on my back this afternoon, I doze off. I don’t know what made me too tired that when I woke up, it was already half past three and I slept for 2 hours! That was a long power nap. Then I spent some time watching DIY in Lifestyle network before dragging myself back in front of the PC. I just finished that segment in DIY (Do it Yourself) where they are making envelope embellishment out of stamped wax. I found it so cute and was reminded of the set of rubber stamps PILs gave to Ella the other year as a holiday present. It was a cute set of crafts but I guess Ella haven’t used it so far because Carol kept it. Maybe when she’s older she could get her hands on it and stamp all she can including her face and arms just like what she’s been doing before.

We were at the mall last night where we had dinner together with my sisters, BIL, Ella and PILs. Not too far from Dimsum Diner is a guns and ammo store. For all you know, Ace became interested in guns through his former officemate who’s into shooting and have won shooting competitions. If I have to decide about it, I don’t want him to engage in that hobby because it is quite expensive but he also need to learn holding and firing a gun for self defense so let him be. Anyway, while the waiter is taking our orders, Ace excused himself and went to the gun store. When he went back, he was bragging that he was able to hold one and was telling me how much it costs plus the licensing fees. So I was like…uh,oh…too expensive. But if he really is interested, I am sure he will find a way to get that gun. Hayts, we haven’t completed the photography gears and accessories yet and here he is, shifting interest in guns. Remember his interest in getting a car before? That was suppressed to the unconscious because no matter how we combine all resources, it’s not enough for the initial downpayment. Maybe all we could afford is a cheap auto insurance.*LoL* Then we would have an auto insurance without a car*hahaha* So now he is shifting his interest in shooting and I bet he will really find a way to get a gun.
