Sky Watch Friday: last Sunset in Vista Verde

It’s been weeks since I last joined Sky Watch. Last week, I took time to catch the sunset (but it wasn’t warm as I expect it) so I could post the last sunset I took before we leave PILs place and move in an apartment.

I will be missing the place…where I took most of my sunset photos. I’m not just lucky to have a clear and unobstructed view of the sunset here in the apartment.

Sunset over Davao City

The land formation that you can see is Davao City. This was taken by hubby on our way home from a day of island hopping. It’s a golden sunset and not the usual warm one.

Cloudy sky over Negros Oriental

I wasn’t able to go out this week and shoot. I think this is the longest time that the camera has rested. Since it’s Sky Watch again and I don’t wanna miss this meme, I started browsing from our old files any appropriate photo to be shared and I found this one photo I took during our trip to Dumaguete City. We are crossing Tañon Strait (thanks to google!) on board a fast craft from Lilo-an, Cebu when I snapped this photo of the cloudy sky of Negros Oriental.

Kabacan’s western sky

I have waited for so long to be able to go home and take photos for Sky Watch. So when we were in Kabacan (my hometown) last week, I didn’t let a day pass by without a sky photo. Ace impatiently said “you’re spending so much time for your sky watch” because he wanted to use the camera and shoot my cousins. Hence, after taking this photo, I handed the camera to him. *pout* This is Kabacan’s western sky with the top of my Uncle’s mango tree in the view. Read more…

Mt. Talinis (Cuernos de Negros)

After more or less half an hour travel by fastcraft from Siquijor Island, we arrived at Dumaguete City port. It was a bit cloudy over Siquijor when we left while Dumaguete had a clear sky. I was fascinated with this mountain range’ beauty capped with white silky clouds. At first I thought it was Mt. Kanlaon but after doing some research, it was Mt. Talinis or was referred to as Cuernos de Negros (horns of Negros). Read more…
