Big thanks!

Ace is overly thoughtful and generous these days.*wink*. After treating me to a massage last Monday, he gave me his full mid-year bonus as an advance birthday gift! Yay! Instead of rewarding himself with something that he so wanted to have, he thought of giving it to his wife so she could buy what she wanted. I’m touched! Anyway, won’t be spending the money yet because we still need to add some amount to buy one of my dream photo gear. Thanks neyko!

It’s ME time!

I received an email notification about the theme yesterday but I kept on delaying this. Anyway talking about ME time, I think I do have lots of it and I am glad I don’t need to ask it from Ace. Well, maybe because we don’t have kiddos that I should attend to. So everytime I am left at home, I consider it my ME time already.

Here’s the top ten things that I love doing or would love to do during my ME time.

  1. Playing with our camera while watching the sun go down (in short, sunset shoot*lorl*)
  2. Getting myself a full body massage. Wow, I love it!
  3. Shopping at ukay-ukay (2nd hand) stores…hahaha!
  4. Reading magazine
  5. Catching up with friends
  6. Sleeping
  7. Surfing the net for DIY projects
  8. Day dreaming*lol*
  9. If I go to the mall, you’ll find me at the housewares section (I just love being there!)
  10. Eating my fave street foods

Check out Ten on Tuesday for more entries.

Me and my poem

One of my childhood memories was reciting the first ever poem Mamang taught me when I was 3 entitled “Ang Nanay Kong Iniibig” (My Beloved Mother).

I think I was 5 years old then and it was the culmination of Linggo ng Wika so there’s a shool-wide competition (in Tagalog of course!). I could clearly recall that I requested for a seat beside the contestants up in the stage! Then I recited my poem in front of the audience.

(I went over my childhood photos and took a photo of this using our DSLR because we don’t have a scanner and I really wanted to post this photo.*lol*) That’s me reciting my poem and the vacated seat at the back was mine. :-) The girls in the background are in grades 5 and 6 and I was not even in grade 1 then.
