FC 35 photography enthusiasts
Our high school class (First Class 35 or FC35) just had the fourth photography enthusiast. So in behalf of Wacky, me and Dennis, we welcome Penchie to the club of clickers and gear addicts!

Wacky was the first to use a DSLR with his Nikon D50. We haven’t seen each other for years and I’ve got no idea that he was into photography. When we had our DSLR last May, I joined the Fanatic Photographers Society and from there I knew that Wacky is also into photography and he’s taken great photos!

Last month, Dennis bought their Canon EOS 50D. He got the idea that I am into photography when he visited my page in friendster and saw the photos that
I have uploaded (though the best photos aren’t uploaded there because I am afraid somebody might steal it). Dennis mentioned he wanted a cam like ours so I told him to get one. Anyway, they could easily afford it. Since Gina (his wife) loves to take photos, it didn’t take that long to convince Gina to buy a DSLR. The next couple of days we were exchanging emails re: DSLR brands and models. Isuggested to get a Canon (because I am a Canon user and I am bias to Nikon!hahaha) but told Dennis to check the internet for reviews and sample photos taken by both brands. After a few days, he dropped me a message that they got a Canon EOS 50D. Yay! Ace’ dream cam. Now they’re busy with their new toy and getting insomnia thinking of his dream lens.*lol*

Last Friday, Penchie (the dentist in our class) asked me to accompany her to shop for a DSLR. She was inspired to go into photography when she happened to watch an episode of Born to be Wild featuring macro photography. Then a few days later, she saw our 400D when I brought it during her birthday party. She somewhat get bored that she wanted to enroll in photography class but one of the basic requirement is to have a DSLR. Hence she decided to get herself a DSLR but she don’t have any idea what to get. First she wanted a Nikon but when she saw my photos, she changed her mind and want a Canon instead. So in the afternoon, off we went to SM City to check for Canon units at CameraHaus where she bought her Canon EOS 450D. Yesterday she just texted me she wanted to buy another lens.
Now I have convinced two friends to use Canon…as if having a sales talk with them even without undergoing a sales training (I should have commission from Canon now*lol*).
Isn’t it nice to have friends who share the same interest? I am sure our group will grow bigger as others will know about our hobby. Now we are looking forward to have a group shoot when Dennis will be home for a vacation this year. As of now, I will be assisting Penchie to explore her camera so it would be easier for her to grasp the lessons when she’ll enroll in basic photography.
Happy clicking everybody!
Note: Wacky and Penchie’s photos are taken by me while Dennis’ was grabbed from his friendster account.

Yeah, that 50D really seems like a nice camera. I get a kick out of the whole back-and-forth betwen Canon and Nikon.
