The boat we hired going to Isla Reta 2 last weekend went around Talicud Island. The first stop was in Mansod Wall, one of the dive sites in the island. We didn’t dive into the depth of the wall as we don’t have diving gears but my sisters, BIL, Ella and Ace had fun snorkeling…looking at the corals while I stayed in the boat to take their pictures. Here’s Ace in his snorkel. That snorkel is a cheap one that limited them to snorkel longer because water gets in the tube so he and Donald are planning to get better one when we’ll go back to the island.

I wanted to buy a photography magazine or a book but it is soooo EXPENSIVE. Instead, Ace downloaded an e-book and I had time to read it when we had no internet connection. The books are interesting and nice read but I find it hard to go through all the pages because my eyes got easily strained. I would rather have a printed copy of it than reading it from the computer monitor. With the hard copy of the book, I can easily go through it whenever I can and highlight some of the important points by marking it. How I wish there’s downloadable audio books for photography so I could only listen to it while doing something….another multi-tasking thing, huh.

Yes, Ace has decided to sleep in our room after almost a month of sleeping in the living room. He finally missed our bed and the comfort of the foam as we’ve been sleeping in the floor with only 2 layers of comforter which are not thick enough to feel that we are like sleeping in our bed. Since December is barely 2 months to go, it’s getting colder in here. Though windows are all closed in our room during the night, it’s chilly as we woke up. A heated mattress pads are appropriate for this time of the year until the first few months of next year. I don’t like cold mornings actually because it’s so hard to get up. So with Ace, he finds it hard to get up early as it so tempting to snuggle under the sheets when morning is chilly.

Critters time! I’m already late but I hope it is better late than never. Here’s one of the parrots in Davao Crocodile Park. In going to the park, I find the colorful parrots more interesting than the crocs.LOL. I just love the colorful feathers of the birds and they make a very nice subject in photography so we spent longer time with the parrots rather than the crocs. We are taking this photo when Ella, my niece, was complaining she’s hungry. We looked for something to munch on and a popcorn came to mind but we haven’t seen popcorn machines in the park. Hence, we ended up having a semi-heavy snacks.

A former officemate forwarded an e-mail regarding the need of Cebu Pacific Air of cabin crews. I was laughing to myself “does Mama Juliet mean it?”. She must be kidding! First, I am not looking for a job. I am contented being here at home though earnings is not stable. Second, I don’t meet other qualifications except for the educational background. Mama Juliet must have forwarded it to me so I could also spread the word to my friends because she knew that I am like a manpower or recruitment agency. Friends ask me for job vacancies that I know and some inform me of the vacancies they know so I could also help to source out for them. Anyway, when friends ask me for job vacancies I usually refer them to the online recruitment companies if I don’t know of any vacancy for them. With the job notifications I receive in my email everyday, I know there’s a lot of job vacancies waiting to be filled up. Sometimes I also go through all the job listing and do admin job search to filter the results since I am usually looking for administrative jobs for friends. Oh well, what am I doing? I should not be wasting any minute now because I need to double time for the wedding giveaways to be shipped next week.

When I was still a child, I have always seen grandfather’s tool box and played with the tools sometimes. I thought they’re only used by carpenters as Tatang makes carpentry works then aside from farming. At home, Daddy don’t have a complete tool box so I really thought tool boxes are only for carpenters and drivers. Lately I realized how important it is to have a tool box here at home so we could easily fix something immediately and not wait for tomorrow or the next few days until we’ll be able to buy the tools needed. Tatang’s tools are all manually operated because air tools are not yet available that time. I believe tools are must haves in the house - whether it be air tools or the manually operated ones - so we need some important tools and I hope will agree with me on this.

Then I was like “are dependents also eligible for that privilege?” If yes, I would not hesitate to go there and have a workout or just have a try of their elliptical.
