On guns and cars

We were at the mall last night where we had dinner together with my sisters, BIL, Ella and PILs. Not too far from Dimsum Diner is a guns and ammo store. For all you know, Ace became interested in guns through his former officemate who’s into shooting and have won shooting competitions. If I have to decide about it, I don’t want him to engage in that hobby because it is quite expensive but he also need to learn holding and firing a gun for self defense so let him be. Anyway, while the waiter is taking our orders, Ace excused himself and went to the gun store. When he went back, he was bragging that he was able to hold one and was telling me how much it costs plus the licensing fees. So I was like…uh,oh…too expensive. But if he really is interested, I am sure he will find a way to get that gun. Hayts, we haven’t completed the photography gears and accessories yet and here he is, shifting interest in guns. Remember his interest in getting a car before? That was suppressed to the unconscious because no matter how we combine all resources, it’s not enough for the initial downpayment. Maybe all we could afford is a cheap auto insurance.*LoL* Then we would have an auto insurance without a car*hahaha* So now he is shifting his interest in shooting and I bet he will really find a way to get a gun.

Pepper Mill and Salt Shaker

We are slowly completing our kitchen tools and utensils. I am just lucky that Ace’ heart is into cooking (but he don’t have time to cook) so there’s no argument with him if I want to buy something for the kitchen. Like me, he also enjoys watching cooking shows where he got interested in getting a pepper mill and salt shaker and said it will be his gift for me. He was looking for it in different stores and have found a Sunnex pepper mill and salt shaker in Gaisano Mall on Christmas Day. Without second thought, he bought it as a present to me. Yey! Thanks hon!

Now I can have freshly ground pepper without fuss. :-)

Tactical knife

Late in the 90’s, female students need something to carry in their bags for self defense. I remember my dormmates having what we call “balisong” while others have tactical knives. Others prefer a stun gun while others bought a tear gas spray. You may ask what’s in my bag? Nothing. I don’t have a night class back then so I don’t need one. Besides, I go to school with my big sisters and then go home from school with some of my classmates so I’m safe, I think. However, I’ve been wanting to have a tactical knife because it’s so useful but I never did bought one. So when I received a tactical knife as a birthday gift from my former employer, I was really happy. But then Ace was more interested in it so I gave it to him and he was using it until now. He found it so helpful in minute things so he’s bringing it in his bag everyday. Daddy saw that knife before and he liked to have one (and he really needs it) so I might consider giving him one. I was looking for one and saw 5.11 Tactical Knives online. Shipping is free but it’s a bit expensive so I might not buy it right away. We’ll see if I can get one in the next few months. Need to work hard for it. :-)

Ellah’s present

My present for Ellah…take note it’s with an H so it’s not for my niece ELLA. It’s for my bestfriend’s daughter who happened to be my goddaughter (I shouldn’t have one but the mother insisted on getting me as a godparent). I missed Ellah’s christening and 2 birthdays so I am making up this time. But hey, Ninang Kerslyn is procastinating again that I haven’t sent this gift yet. Oh..oh…you can’t put all the blame on me as I have texted Lan2x asking for their mailing address but I haven’t received a reply yet. Maybe I could send this after new year. :-)

Crazy over cellphones

When cellphones became a necessity more than just a luxury, mobile phone manufacturers seemed to take advantage of that cellphone craze and they’ve been releasing one unit after another until they have finally released cellphones with colored LCD, camera, and and other advanced features. Owning the older version of cellphone using the ringtones that are built in the phone’s software, it amazes me if I hear other ringtones that sounds like a real song and see those animated wallpaper in the cellphone’s LCD. However, ringtones and wallpapers aren’t free that time…and they pay for every ringtone and wallpaper being uploaded in the cellphones. Glad that I am not one of those who’ve been crazy over those ringtones and wallpapers! I didn’t spent a single cent for it. :-) Had those people known that there’s a site for free downloadable ringtones and wallpapers, they must have not spent money downloading it. I stumbled upon mobizaardotcom where one can download a ringtone or wallpaper for free. The Mobizaar - Free Ringtones and Wallpapers are not only free to download but one can also make his/her own depending on her preference. Such a great find for the people who’s crazy over changing ringtones and wallpapers as often as they wanted.

The big eater

The little girl was here! They arrived yesterday afternoon and she was left here with me and Che2x while Carol and Donald went out for a doctor’s check-up. At first she was settled in front of our HDTV watching disney channel while eating an apple. After a while, Ella started to demand for something…she’s asking for an ice cream so I told Che2x to give her what was left in the freezer but she don’t like the flavor. She wanted a chocolate one. They went to the store to buy veggies for dinner and her ice cream but as soon as she finished eating it, she asked for another one. Glad that there’s enough money left from the 50 pesos I gave Che2x for the veggies and Ella’s ice cream so she was able to buy another one. This time, she went to the store by herself and got herself an ice cream on stick. She finished it in just a few moments and asked for something to munch again. What??? She wasn’t full yet so she dig in our grocery bag and got a pack of chips and biscuit then settled in front of the TV and continue watching Mr. Bean. When she finished the chips and biscuits, the big eater finally stopped from asking for something to eat. She might have been full then. :-)

TWO hands

Alas! I’ve done alot of the laundry yesterday. What’s left now are the sheets, pillow cases and the towels. I’m done with the curtains so I can change curtains for the holidays. Opps, we’re not celebrating but I also need to clean up. Have so many things to do with my 2 hands. We have 10 hands here but only my 2 hands are giving a hand in cleaning. I wish I have more so I could do a lot. I really can’t rely on Che2x. I have given her assignment but until now she hasn’t done it. It’s been months already and everytime I remind her to do it, she has so many excuses. Now I’ve given her another thing to do and guess what? She just told me “ikaw maglinis nyan kasi ikaw man naiiwan dito araw-araw” (you clean it ‘coz you’re left here everyday). Such a L-A-Z-Y brat! I’m not sitting here all day, remember. I am also working to earn. It’s just that I am working at home and like anybody going to the office to work, I also have the right to rest after work. What if I won’t work on my blogs? Let’s see who can’t go to school because her school expenses are from my blogging earnings though sometimes Carol gives half for her bi-weekly school fees.

Laundry = Money

Though it’s overcast yesterday, I still did some of the laundry. Imagine, I have 3 piles of laundry. If I don’t wash it now, I bet it will be waiting for me until New Year. So in between blogging, I load my washing buddy with Ace’ denim pants and the 2nd load was mine. But hey, look at what I got from the pockets of my 3 denim pants…

I and Ace are really opposite. As a perfect melancholic, before he declares his garment that it should go to the laundry basket, he checks all pockets while I, on the opposite just dump everything in the laundry basket. Sometimes, I don’t even check the pockets. But since I am using the machine, I checked the pockets ‘coz there might be some coins or little things in there that might ruin the machine. When I do the laundry before, I usually find money in my pockets just after washing it. Such a great choleric! Sometimes, I even doubt that I am a Sanguine. But I don’t mix work with play and I want everything to be done MY WAY, so I am not one. But hey, if somebody will do the laundry for me, I will check first the pockets before I turn over the laundry.
