Busy fingers

It’s weekend again! Been looking forward for a work-free weekend but here I am trying to get things done. Seems to me weekends are the busiest days of my week because it is when I can concentrate doing my online tasks on the side. So now instead of vegging out, my fingers are so busy pressing keys of my laptop’s keyboard while my mind sometimes wander…daydreaming of a lazy day. I really need to finish everything because I’ll be out of the house on Monday. We’ll finally be processing Ace’ requirements for housing loan (after delaying it too much). Hmmm….I can smell a new house soon! That would mean a lot of expenses (again!) for the furnishings and appliances. Then we will be forced to get a homeowners insurance (of course because it’s our own house already!). It will be our biggest investment so we need to insure it for possible damages (knock on wood!).

Nibbled charger cable

Ace’ dream came true! No, not the dream car yet. He dreamt that his cellphone charger was broken. Indeed it was damaged by the two puppies.LOL. We left them inside the house one night and went to my cousin’s house for a dinner. We stayed a little bit longer than expected and when we got home, I saw a wire lying in the kitchen floor. When I picked it up, I realized it was part of Ace’ cellphone charger. He left the charger plugged where the TV and speaker are plugged. Good thing only the charger cable was nibbled and not the TV cable or the vga cable with audio for the speaker. Ace would have cried if the latter two was damaged.hahahaha.

The road not taken

One of my fave poems second to Desiderata. This was taught to us in English class during my fourth year in high school and since then, this poem I never ever forgot.

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
