I Wanna Try Using A Clip On Earrings

I and Che2x were at SM yesterday to shoot in the Agro-Trade Fair of Kadayawan 2008 which started last week. We were there last Sunday after we’ve been to People’s Park but I was not able to shoot much because my battery’s empty. I didn’t heed Ace that morning that I should charge the battery. It’s still full when I checked it so I was so confident the battery will survive a long day shoot. Later did I realized that I used the 400D Friday afternoon for the sunset shoot and Ace used the cam on Saturday for their team’s basketball game. After the battery went DEAD, we went inside SM to find where we can charge it. I thought of asking a favor in CameraHaus where we bought the DSLR and some of our gears. The saleslady knew us already so we didn’t have to beg for the charging of battery. After almost an hour, we got back the battery. It’s not fully charged yet but can managed to take some shots.

Anyway, we went back to the trade fair yesterday for my photo shoot. I am not yet done with my shoot when the sun finally set and I had a hard time getting the flowers’ photos because natural light is better. When it’s dark, we heeded to Victoria Plaza to meet Carol, Donald and Ella. Ace is on his way also from work. In the jeepney, I noticed the super big earrings of a gay. I was really looking at it and it seems so heavy and was like “his ear-pierce must be so big now”. Later did I realized it was a clip on earrings that most gays are using. Hmm…I think I wanna try that one. Will find a clip-on earrings next time so I can also wear super big earrings.

Coming Soon

Hi! I’m off 3 hours before my shift ends so I took time to write something. Nothing much going on here…I’m am just excited to see my niece, Ella! Hahaha….They should be here last Monday but was moved on Tuesday…and was moved again. So finally, they’re in the city already. Carol texted me this morning that the bus is in Bunawan already. That’s the last barangay between Davao City and Davao del Norte and they will go straight to downtown. No probs….will just wait for them tonight. I am just excited to see Ella.LOL.

Anyway, have to go now…I will have my photo session again as it was cut short this morning because I have a shift at 10AM. So, will continue with it and continue on experimenting the DSLR. Che-Che already commented this morning, “para ka man buang ate” (you’re like insane) when I asked her to hold a box of pizza where I used to mount the aluminum foil for an “effect” on the photo. I’ve been taking photos of the roses we got in Bankerohan and will continue on taking photos of it until I have mastered the settings. I wish I could post it here. Hmmm….will see. Maybe that’ll be posted in our photoblog. The domain is already up but haven’t posted anything yet. It’s not yet OUT IN THE MARKET…it’s still COMING SOON.

Weekend Snapshot: Coconut Tree

I couldn’t believe Ace telling me and others he got our 400D for me…mainly for my blog and for me to develop skills in photography. Oh, that was flattering. Maybe it’s the reason why he is not using it much…or maybe just his schedule. He has no time to learn using the DSLR. But then I was teaching him little by little. During our trip to the city last Saturday night, he was able to take a snap of the city at night with me guiding him what settings to use. He was in the mood to take photos but after a few shots, the memory card is full. I told him to delete some of the photos stored in the memory. Then, he took another snap and the camera went off. He was prompted “Change the battery”. Isn’t that another sign that we should have extra battery, Honey? Anyway, yesterday afternoon he got hold of the camera again. As I was uprooting some weeds in the yard, he was taking photos of just anything until I saw him beside a coconut tree (Cocos nucifera) taking photo of it. Yey! He seemed to have some creativity in taking photos.

Happy  everybody!!! Have fun!

Just thinking of a laptop memory upgrade

A great morning! I woke up earlier than usual though it was already 1AM when we retire for the day. Ace was still sleeping so I don’t bother to wake him up because he has been working with his unfinished task at work which he brought home last Saturday until 1ish. He did his “homework” in FILs laptop here in our room while I did some blogging using the desktop in the living room.

Yesterday, we planned for an early morning walk by the beach and I presume it will be postponed as Ace needs extra hours of sleep this time. He’ll be reporting to work today though it’s declared as a non-working holiday in lieue of Thursday (June 12) as Independence Day. Not a good news for me. I like non-working holidays a lot because it’s another bonding day supposed to be but Ace had to work so I’ll do my own thing.

Now I am taking advantage of the laptop here in our room to finish my unfinished task last night. I am lucky though that it wasn’t yet deleted from my list of assignments as it’s long overdue. Nice to have laptop so I can blog anywhere.hahaha…I’m daydreaming once again. Hence, I would not be thinking of my deadliest deadline everytime I’m out of town. Another advantage of having this thing is I can easily upload photos taken with our 400D during out of town trips so I can take hundreds of photos and not to worry about the compact flash card’s limited memory.  Our 400D’s cf card is only 1gb. That cf card goes with the kit so what we can to do is either get another cf card with higher memory because with the size of photos taken by our DSLR, 1gb can only store not more than 300 photos. Hence, I upload photos every now and then so that I could delete it from the camera right away and take another batch of photos again. Maybe after a year or two, the photos being uploaded will eat up a lot of memory space and for sure a laptop memory upgrade will be needed by then.

Weekend Snapshot : Decorative Lights

We are supposed to have dinner at SM last Saturday but Ace arrived 20 minutes before closing time so we headed to Banok’s located in front of the mall where FIL had a meeting with some of his business colleagues. My sister was like “Yey! My stomach will be full again”. We were then seated in the back portion of the place and it’s really beautiful with a great ambience. It’s not a Class A resto though but the place is cozy compared to other outlets. I like it’s decorative lights hanging in the ceiling and the drapery. I am familiarizing our new DLSR so I tried to take shots of the place and here’s one of my fave shots.
