All about ME

Paula (the founder of BC Bloggers) celebrated her birthday with an online party. I missed the fun but she’s so sweet to consider the busy bodies (read: procastinators) like me so we’re given the chance to join the online party. Yay! Anyway, here’s my entry for the party. This post will be about me, myself, and mine. To my few readers, hope you won’t get bored.
I am Crislyn. According to my mother, my name is a combination of my parent’s names. Obviously, the Cris from Crisanto – my father, and Lyn – from Elegia.huh? How come? I don’t really know but my mother is fondly called Eling or Ely. So maybe from there I got the Lyn in my name. I am fondly called Lyn by my family, relatives and other close friends, my HS friends call me Kerslyn, and my former colleagues call me Cris.
After five long years of being a corporate slave, I quit the rat race and joined the blogosphere. I was really amazed at how blogging has sustained our needs and was able to help send my youngest sister to school and finish her degree. It’s been two years since I started blogging and now I am maintaining 8 blogs, 7 of which are my own domains. That’s more than a handful of blogs but I don’t want to stop there. I want more! The day I quit my job, my life revolved around the four walls of my comfort zone – our home, and I am seldom seen outside during weekdays. I only get to go out for important errands and during the weekends when Ace takes me out because he thinks I am bored at home. To date, I am a fulltime work-at-home wife working online for an American-owned company and does blogging on the side. That’s the reason why my blogs are not as updated as before (during my first year of blogging) because I need to juggle between work, wifey duties and blogging.
Did I mention that I am married? Oh well, before I forget, I am married to my boyfriend of seven long years. Ace is a corporate slave and I know he wanted to get out of it the soonest. Though we have personal differences, we still have a lot in common and we both love so many things! Our taste buds are almost the same for we love to eat almost the same type of foods! We both love outdoors most especially the beach! Unlike other men, I don’t have to drag him to go somewhere else because he loves going out in the first place. We both love to travel but we’re stuck within the city most of the time because of budget constraint. If only travel budget isn’t a problem, we would be out anywhere we wanted to be. One of our common interest is photography. It started when I asked him to get me a cam – not the point and shoot but the BIG one (I don’t know that it’s called DSLR that time). Then I started to be addicted in taking photos and dreamt to complete our gears soon. Another BIG dream for me is to have my own BIG kitchen complete with all the appliances, fixtures, gadgets, cookwares, etc. and I hope to realize that when we have our own abode soon.
